Postage & delivery

Postage is charged once per order, not once per lot, and it depends on what the order is worth rather than on how many pieces it holds.

That holds however many of our dealers the pieces came from. We gather them here and despatch them together, so an order is always one parcel with one tracking number — you are never charged twice for a package you only receive once.

• Over US$ 1,000 — free

Buying five pieces in one order therefore costs materially less to send than buying them one at a time, which is the point. We ship worldwide.

Registered and insured, with tracking on every order. Express courier is offered at checkout for material that should not spend two weeks in a postal system.

Stamps and covers travel between rigid boards in a padded envelope. Nothing is mounted, hinged or handled beyond what was needed to scan it.

Orders are despatched within two business days of payment clearing. For a bank transfer, that means two days from the money arriving, not from the order being placed.

Your lots are held for you from the moment you order, so nothing is at risk while a transfer is in flight. The hold does run out — see the terms of sale for how long — but telling us a transfer is on its way is enough for us to keep holding them.

To be completed: typical transit times by destination, once there is a carrier agreement to quote them from. Inventing them would be a promise the post office has not made.

Import duties, taxes and any local restriction on philatelic material are the buyer’s to deal with: they vary by country and we cannot quote them.

Import duties and taxes, where they apply, are the buyer’s responsibility. They are charged by your own country, not by us, and they are not included in anything shown at checkout. Parcels are declared honestly at their sale value.

Every order is insured and tracked. If a parcel does not arrive, tell us — do not wait for it to turn up. We start the claim, and you are not out of pocket while it runs.
