Returns & refunds

What happens if you change your mind, and what happens if we got something wrong. The two are treated differently, on purpose.

Last updated 5 September 2026.

Cancelling before you pay

An unpaid order can be cancelled by you, at any time, from your orders. Nothing is owed and no explanation is needed.

The lots go straight back on sale, which is the only reason we ask you to cancel rather than simply not pay: while the order stands, nobody else can buy them.

After you have paid

Write to us before the parcel is sent and we will cancel and refund it in full. Once it has gone, it becomes a return.

To be completed: the email address for these requests.

If a piece is not as described

Return it and you are refunded in full, including what you paid to have it sent and what it costs to send it back. This is not a concession: a description is a statement of fact about a specific piece, and if it was wrong, the sale was made on a wrong basis.

A piece that fails expertisation is misdescribed for this purpose, however long that takes. Send us the certificate.

If you simply change your mind

Return the piece unaltered — not mounted, not hinged, not soaked, not removed from its cover — and you are refunded the price you paid. Return postage is yours.

The condition matters because these are single pieces: a stamp that comes back hinged is not the stamp that was sold, and cannot be offered again as it was described.

You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind. Tell us inside that window and send the piece back as it left us.

How a refund is made

To the method you paid by, wherever the provider allows it. A refunded order is marked as such in your account, and the lots return to the catalogue.

To be completed: how long a refund takes to appear, which depends on the payment providers finally chosen.
