Description
1942. Most intriguin & unusual stampless unsealed cover originated in Custhaven, Germany intended to reach St. Paul, MN by airmail but stopped at Las Palmas. A Scott 697, surface rate was affixed & a violet Las Palmas censor strike was applied alongside. On back, there is a Madrid transit Mar21 & an American censor tape. Quite a journey!. FINE, VERY FINE.
