Description
1938. Official Seals. Scott & Yvert unlisted. Bustamante unlisted. UNISSUED design similar to Bustamante 18. This printing should be previous to the mandatory "FORMA 54" imprints at top of seals, that started in 1939 with Bustamante 35. Specialized group of 8 imperf seals, black on chalky surface deep blue including regular seal & 7 varieties. "PERU", "OFICIAL", or "SELLO" inverted, "SELLO" inverted & double impression, "CIERRE OFICIAL" & "CORREOS DEL PERU" reversed & a double impression & "SELLOE" placed vertically. Unused, no gum. Two seals with minor faults, balance FINE, VERY FINE & scarce group.
